Appearing at the 2010 Traverse City Film Festival in Traverse, Michigan, for a screening of Rezolution Pictures’ smash success documentary, Reel Injun, director Neil Diamond and Producer Ernie Webb received two prestigious awards from the festival.
At the festival, highlighted by the appearance of celebrated documentary filmmaker Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11), Diamond and Webb both attended a screening of the film and also sat on a panel with Moore, discussing documentary film.
“Reel Injun played at the festival at 9 on a Sunday morning and it was incredible. When Ernie Webb and I got there, the lineup for the film went around the block. It was packed, completely sold out,” said Diamond.
By the festival’s close, Reel Injun had received both the Special Founder’s Prize and the Spirit Award for the documentary.
