Quebec Ombudsman Daniel Jacoby said some editorialists at Quebec newspapers are writing “veritable hate propaganda” against aboriginal peoples.
Without naming names, Jacoby pointed the finger at “certain editorialists.” He said they might exercize “more moderation.”
The comments came during a forum organized by the Quebec Federation of Professional Journalists.
“I don’t accept that there aren’t two points of view in editorials,” said Jacoby. “In Quebec, there is a risk it will become very serious if the politicians, editorialists and journalists don’t show more moderation.”
