The Canadian Alliance was on the defensive after an internal party document leaked out that revealed a secret agenda for the country.

If elected, the right-wing party promises to eliminate tax exemptions for on-reserve First Nations people, according to a report in the Globe and Mail.

The party would also hold a free vote in the House of Commons on marijuana use, put the CBC up for sale and eliminate affirmative action in federal jobs for First Nations people and others.

The policies go much farther than party leader Stockwell Day or his official platform have let on.

The document says the party “will ensure that Status Indians on-reserve have the same tax obligations as aboriginal people living off-reserve and all other Canadians.”
