Police swooped down on a Chisasibi home to seize $1,000 of suspected marijuana on June 23.
Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking was Robbie Shecapio, according to Chisasibi police Constable Robert Shem.
Asked why police suspected Shecapio, Shem explained, “Informants and a community member of Chisasibi wanted to help us catch the guy.”
Shem said “the stuff” hasn’t been tested at the lab yet, but added, “We suspect it was marijuana.”
He said about 25 grams were seized, with a street value of $40 per gram.
Shecapio has been released back into the community and a hearing is expected in Septemberin Chisasibi, Shem said.
